Carli Luca is the News Director at KALB-TV in Alexandria, Louisiana. She previously served as the News Operations Manager and Executive Producer of investigative content at WNDU-TV in South Bend, Indiana. Among her recognitions, Carli won a Chicago/Midwest Regional Emmy Award in 2023, and has been Emmy nominated for investigative work and producing. Before moving to Louisiana, she was also named as part of the 2023 class for “Michiana 40 under 40“, which recognizes career success and community engagement. Carli has a passion for helping young journalists develop their skills and reach their career goals. Carli also specializes in public records requests and in-depth news coverage that goes beyond the headlines thanks to her participation in the FOIA Fellowship Class of 2022 at DePaul University’s Center for Journalism Integrity and Excellence, her Investigative Reporters and Editors Inc. membership, and her Master’s in Legal Studies degree from Purdue University Global.

Prior to working in television, Carli was behind the mic on the radio. From May 2017 to July 2019 she was News Director for News Now Warsaw 1480-AM & 99.7-FM, Classic Hits 107.3 WRSW FM, and Willie 103.5 in Warsaw, Indiana and hosted the award-winning public affairs show “IN The Know”. Carli was also the regional reporter for the Pat Miller Program on WOWO News/Talk 1190 AM & 107.5 FM in 2019.

Carli received her undergraduate degree from Allegheny College and honed her broadcasting skills at the Ohio Media School– where she was awarded the Don Mertens Award for Broadcast Excellence in Television. She’s a Cleveland native who enjoys rock music, reading & attending community events. She’s known for her love of pop culture and Halloween.
